Musim Mudik, Stasiun Gambir Siapkan 35 Rangkaian Kereta

PT KAI Provides 35 Train Carriages for Homecoming

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) provides 35 train carriages for this year homecoming and returning flow season. Those carriages consist of 30 regular trains and five additional trains.

Those train carriages will serve passengers heading to West Java, Central Java, East Java, and Yogyakarta

“From Gambir Station, there are 30 regular train carriages and five additional train carriages for Eid ul Fitr. Those train carriages will serve passengers heading to West Java, Central Java, East Java, and Yogyakarta. Most of them are business and executive carriages,” stated PT KAI Daops I spokesman, Agus Komarudin, at Gambir Station, Tuesday (7/22).

According to Komarudin, since Eid ul Fitr D-7 until today, the passengers in Gambir Station are continuously increasing from 9,713 to 9,859 people. Although there is an increase, the station looks quiet from passengers because the management applies boarding system in which passengers must be present one hour before departure.

PT KAI Operates Two New Trains for Homecoming

“Although there are many departures, there is no passengers-piling here because it is more orderly now with boarding system. The peak of homecoming flow is predicted to happen on July 23-28 in the amount of about 16 thousand people. We’re currently preparing facilities like healthcare room, breast-feeding room, and waiting room,” he uttered.
